You will create a “Movie Poster”.  We will do a drawing to select a movie and you will design a movie poster for that movie. Be creative with artwork, text, etc. don’t just copy and paste making it look just like the one you find on the internet. Layer 1 should be your Background layer** —This has to be your original background.  When deciding on your movie poster design, keep in mind these 5 elements:

• GENRE: Does your poster clue us in on whether the movie is scary, funny, action packed?
• TITLE: Is it unique, meaningful, and pertinent?
• TAGLINE:  AKA Slogan….make it short and sweet, yet powerful…
• TARGET AUDIENCE: Who is the specific group interested in watching this movie? What can you do in your poster to appeal them?
• IMAGE: Does you imagery tell a story?  Give us insight into what this movie is about!

I’ll be looking for the “COMPLETE PACKAGE” and grading you based on these elements. Poster must be school appropriate.

             Size:  24 x 36 inches with 300 dpi resolution

       **Be sure to keep separate layers for everything you do***

• Review study Guide—RETAKE Test  Thursday (4/28/16)

Assignment:  Step-by-Step Tutorial for Poster Illustration

• Go to “Student G” and copy the folder Poster Illustration Project  your folder.
• Using the Blue Adobe Photoshop Project binders complete the ” INSPIRE–Poster Illustration step-by-step tutorial.—-(It’s the second “green” divider from the back of the book)
• Save as: Poster Illustration in the” Poster Illustration Project folder”.

If you finish create a Freestyle and save it in your freestyle folder as freestyle 4_22.

• On 4/7 (Thursday) we will be taking your Certification TEST… Check with your 6th period teacher and see if you can leave class 15-20 minutes early on Thursday to come and start testing so you will have time to finish cert testing.   I will also send emails to teachers requesting this as well.

Assignment:  Elementary Class T-Shirt

LHS Elementary has asked the Digital Design classes to design this year’s class t-shirt.

• They are requesting that the shirt be “Something Catchy” and “Upbeat”
• T-shirt will need to have a Front and a Back design. You can have 2 separate documents or you can put the front design on the top of the document and the back design on the bottom of the document. (draw a line to separate the design if they are put on the same document)
• The Design will be printed in black or white ink depending on the color of the class shirt
• Make a folder called  Elementary T-Shirt and save the file as  T-Shirt in the folder.
